(Smooth) This blend was created specially for Louise Penny, as we at Virgin Hill Coffee are HUGE fans. We initially came up with the blend for fun, to include in a welcome basket. We also served it this summer at the pre-launch for Glass Houses in Knowlton Quebec. We are so excited to be able to offer it to all Penny fans! The extra special thing about our Gamache blend is that we are donating $1 to the Yamaska Literacy Council for every bag sold.

We have tried our best to make this blend something that accurately represents the formidable Armand Gamache. The blend is rich in depth and flavor and has a touch of acidity. It is full bodied, yet delicately sharp. Great for those of you who enjoy coffee with character.

THE COFFEE: Virgin Hill Coffee’s Gamache blend coffee is a hearty medium roast featuring a blend of African and Asian coffees. Similar to Inspector Gamache, this coffee is deep and rich in character! 

THE ROAST: Roasted in small batches in the Eastern Townships of Québec, our 100% Arabica coffee is a full bodied medium roast. This coffee is rated as a 5 out of 8 on our intensity scale. It is considered smooth with a lot of flavour and is for a good cause, with $1 of every purchase getting donated to to the Yamaska Literacy Council to help kids learn to read. PREPARATION: Best for drip coffee machines, French presses or a pour over.

THE SOURCE: Our Arabica coffee beans are responsibly and sustainably sourced from the highest grade of coffee producers in Africa & Asia. This high-grade coffee is certified kosher.
