During the last three years we have strived and managed to keep our prices unchanged in times of high inflation and volatile pricing. However, green beans have risen steeply (due to severe weather in key regions), along with other costs of supplying your favorite coffee, such as transportation costs, labor and inflation. In fact, the price of green beans is the highest it has ever been in the last 13 years, according to the International Coffee Association’s June 2024 report. A very important factor in this rise is the increasingly frequent extreme weather events caused by climate change, to which coffee production is especially sensitive. Vietnam and Brazil, which together produce more than half of the world’s coffee, have experienced severe droughts in 2024, with Brazil also having dealt with wildfires. The expected supply shortages in both countries due to these weather events are driving global coffee bean prices higher. Adding on to this is the rising costs of transportation due to various supply disruptions in the last years.

Though we have managed to hold our prices steady for you, our dear customers, we cannot continue to absorb these rising costs. Our prices online as well as at the Atelier have therefore increased by about 6%.
