The Story of Virgin Hill Coffee | A Family-Owned Roastery in North Hatley, Quebec

Virgin Hill Coffee began humbly in a small garage on Virgin Hill Road in North Hatley, Quebec, in the heart of the Eastern Townships. What started as a family coffee roasting project quickly grew into a trusted local specialty coffee roastery known for quality, consistency, and community roots.

In 2008, a devastating fire destroyed the original roastery. What could have been the end of Virgin Hill Coffee instead became a defining moment in our story. Determined to continue, our team rebuilt from the ground up. Along the way, we discovered a vintage 1959 Petroncini coffee roaster in the Swiss Alps. That historic machine was restored and brought back to life, becoming part of the heart and soul of our roasting process.
